We have been maintaining contact with our brother in Christ, Hesbon Oseko Oburu, in Kenya, and he has informed us of a housing project that he and his church (Kemboa SDA Church) are undergoing. The project will involve repairing the church building and two houses that the kids use. The amount the church needs is $500, which would help them purchase iron sheets, murram (soil residues), bricks, steel, paint, and windows for the buildings. Any amount helps! God willing, we will provide some resources that can help Hesbon and his dad's church out, and glorify the name of Jesus in the process! Anything helps--thank you for your generosity, and willingness to step out in faith to bring glory to God. May this good work that God has started continue to its fruition--"And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’" (Acts 20:35 NKJV). The planned cutoff date for the fundraiser will be 8/23/21. UPDATE 9/24/21: We were able to send $120 dollars to help our friends in Kenya with medicine (one of the little boys in the congregation was sick) and buying housing supplies. We will remain in contact with Hesbon to stay up-to-date with how they are doing with things! CastTheNet is trying to raise $75 to ship 23 Bibles out to Kenya for a brother in Christ and his ministry. The Bibles have already been acquired, and are ready to go! All we need to do now is cover the cost for shipping. We are hoping some people will want to contribute and be a part of this, and donate some money to help us with the cost. Worst case, they will be scalped and sold to people in Kenya--but even if that is the case, our God is a miracle worker and will do amazing and awesome things either way (but do pray these Bibles find their way into the hands that God wants them to be found in). Nonetheless, we will be in communication with Hesbon as things progress, and hopefully we will get some new pictures from him and his church. EDIT 7/31/21: After much waiting and praying, Hesbon got his Bibles a couple days ago! We know God has His own timetable, but to be honest, I was kind of losing hope that Hesbon would get his package... But God did not forsake the step of faith that we all took, and He brought to fruition the good work that He started!! Praise God that Hesbon has his Bibles, and may we continue to pray blessing and power in the Holy Spirit over Hesbon and whoever he's working, along with their ministry! I plan to remain in contact with Hesbon, and hopefully we will be able to provide in more ways for the ministry he is a part of over there. Let's keep casting the net for Christ!
